St. Luke's Hospital, a 300-plus-bed hospital, sits on a 74-acre campus in northwest Ohio. A suburb of Toledo, Maumee is located in Lucas County and stretches for five miles along the north bank of the Maumee River. As the area's only independent hospital, St. Luke's has provided quality health care for more than 100 years. In fact, HealthGrades rated St. Luke's Hospital as the best in the region for cardiac surgery and for overall orthopedic services for 2008.
With more than 700 physicians and 1,500 employees, St. Luke's provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services for about 165,000 patients each year. Services include cardiac, orthopedic, oncology, labor and delivery, medical/surgical, pediatric, critical and emergency care. Also, the hospital will open the area's first comprehensive Diabetes Care Center in 2008.
In addition, St. Luke's physicians enjoy a collegial relationship with medical staff peers and a supportive administration that strives to make the hospital a comfortable, efficient environment for physicians to practice medicine.
