The Northwest Ohio Oncology Center

The Northwest Ohio Oncology Center is one of the area's newest facilities dedicated to the treatment of cancer patients. The center, located on the campus of St. Luke's Hospital, houses some of the most advanced technologies in the fight against cancer.

The Northwest Ohio Oncology Center Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States, and physicians at the Northwest Ohio Cancer Center realize that it is as genetically different in each patient as a fingerprint. The center offers the latest in radiation and chemotherapy techniques, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), a treatment that targets cancerous cells while sparing as many healthy cells as possible.

In addition to treating cancer, the Northwest Ohio Oncology Center is on the forefront of research efforts. The center has participated in national trials and studies involving the prevention and treatment of breast cancer and prostate cancer, and works closely with the American Cancer Society.

St. Luke's Hospital hosts a prostate cancer support group called Man to Man on the second Tuesday of each month. The group is open to prostate cancer survivors and their family members. For more information about Man to Man, call 419-893-5921.
