![]() 419-891-8056 The Physical Rehabilitation Center at St. Luke's Hospital cares for patients with significant rehabilitative and nursing needs. To better meet the needs of the communities we serve, the 22-bed rehabilitation unit within the hospital, offers rehabilitative services to patients who have been adversely affected by illness or injury. We provide a home-like setting that emphasizes family involvement, healing, recovery and wellness. The Physical Rehab Center has programs that meet the needs of those with amputations, orthopedic injuries, stroke, wound management and reconditioning, and more. Patients receive intensive daily therapy services, enabling them to achieve their individualized goals. They benefit from a treatment area that features an apartment setting, where they can test their independence and skills before returning home. And, since the Physical Rehab Center is located within St. Luke's Hospital, patients receive specialized services such as radiology, lab and pulmonary services, if needed. The Physical Rehab Center utilizes a "team" approach, with physiatrists, physical, occupational and speech therapists, rehabilitation nurses and support personnel working in conjunction with patients and family members to help patients regain their highest level of function and independence. The Medical Director, a board-certified physiatrist with specialized training in physical medicine and rehabilitation, works closely with family physicians to ensure a seamless continuity of care. Our ultimate goal is to restore patients' stability, maximize their potential for independence and help them attain the skills and confidence they need to return to their lives. |
