Conveniently located on the campus of St. Luke’s Hospital, the Pain Clinic at St. Luke’s Hospital offers evaluation and treatment for chronic pain conditions including back pain, herniated discs, neck and shoulder pain, muscle and joint pain, nerve pain and shingles.

Using a team approach that involves nurses, specialists, therapists and your family doctor, anesthesiologists Elizabeth Fowler, MD, and Patrick Schafer, MD, work with you and your family to create a plan of care. Developed just for you, the course of treatment is designed to help relieve your pain, teach you how to manage your pain, and help you restore your quality of life.

In a supportive, compassionate environment, the clinic offers a range of treatment options for patients including:

  • Pain evaluations and diagnostic testing
  • Nerve blocks
  • Pain blocks
  • Epidural injections
  • Trigger point injections
  • Use of physical, occupational and psychological therapies
  • Consultation with your primary care physician to recommend a medication routine that manages your pain effectively

Sleep Disorders Center

The Sleep Disorders Center at St. Luke's Hospital provides the evaluation and testing your doctor needs to help diagnose and treat your sleep disorder, including some of these more common disorders 

  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Insomnia
  • Periodic Limb Movement Disorder
  • Restless Legs Syndrome
  • Bruxism
  • Excessive Daytime Sleepiness (Hypersomnia)

A doctor who is board certifed in sleep disorder medicine directs the Sleep Disorders Cener. Registered polysomnographic technologists and respiratory therapists lead the staff. The Center has been been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine since 1999.

Tobacco Treatment Center

St. Luke's Hospital offers expert help and support to stop using tobacco products for both adults and teens. All of the staff are respiratory therapists who have completed special training in providing tobacco-cessation treatment. They've studied at places like the Mayo Clinic Nicotine Dependency Center and the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

With two treatment options and a support group, our experienced professionals can help you create a plan that fits your specific needs.

The Tobacco Treatmenter is conveniently located in the Fallen Timbers Medical Center, 5757 Monclova Road, in the St. LUke's Medical park on the campus of St. Luke's Hospital. It is also funded by the St. Luke's Hospital Foundation.
