1/15/2008 Program answers questions about robotic surgery
A panel of four surgeons will share how St. Luke's new da Vinci Surgical System helps them offer patients a minimally invasive surgery option for complex procedures like prostatectomies and hysterectomies. Participants also will see what it's like to sit in the console that controls the robot's arms during the free community event on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 7 pm at St. Luke's Hospital.

Celebrate National Wear Red Day with St. Luke's Hospital at its free breakfast program, "National Wear Red Day Community Forum: Questions Every Woman Must Ask Her Doctor About Her Heart." Held on Friday, Feb. 1, the program will feature the story of one woman's journey to heart health and a panel of medical experts will share important information about women and heart disease. 12/26/2007 Robotic surgery advances surgery for women
Urogynecologist Andrew Croak, DO, completed the first two robotic surgeries at St. Luke’s Hospital on Dec. 21. With the help of St. Luke’s new da Vinci® S HD™ Surgical System, he removed one woman’s ovaries and removed scar tissue from another woman coping with endometriosis.

10/11/2007 St. Luke's Hospital opens second lab in Perrysburg
St. Luke's recently opened its second lab in Perrysburg at its River Road Medical Building. Located at 28443 E. River Road, Suite 101, the lab is open Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – noon, 1 – 4:30 pm. The hospital also has a lab in the Perrysburg Medical Arts Building.
10/1/2007 Breast screens for uninsured women
The National Cancer Institutes advises women in their 40s and older to get a mammogram every year or two. And, all women should ask their doctor to give them a clinical breast exam every year. But, that's not so easy when you don't have health insurance. Thanks to a grant from the Northwest Ohio Affiliate, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, St. Luke's Hospital will offer free clinical breast exams and mammograms to uninsured women on Tuesday, Oct. 23, and Monday, Oct. 29.
9/17/2007 St. Luke’s breaks ground for Diabetes Care Center
St. Luke's is one step closer to having the only comprehensive diabetes care center in northwest Ohio. A community groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 1:30 pm.

2/9/2007 Free smoking cessation class offered
Thanks to a grant from the Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation, the Tobacco Treatment Center at St. Luke’s Hospital is waiving fees for adults who want to attend its four-week smoking cessation class called “My Path to a Tobacco-Free Future.”
12/21/2006 New Diabetes Care Center planned
In December, St. Luke's announced plans to open the area's first comprehensive diabetes treatment center on its campus. The hospital also has launched a public fundraising campaign to help finance the Diabetes Care Center at St. Luke's.
11/17/2006 Tobacco Treatment Center opens in January
St. Luke's Hospital will open the first tobacco treatment center in northwest Ohio in January 2007. The St. Luke's Hospital Tobacco Treatment Center will bring smoking prevention, intervention and cessation services and resources for youth and adults under one roof. It will be located on the first floor of 6005 Monclova Road. For more information, call 419-893-QUIT (7848).

Mammography Services recently renovated its department and added a new state-of-the-art mammography unit. Appointments are available Monday through Saturday. Call 419-897-8328 to make one.
7/21/2006 Mammography service opens in Waterville
When it’s time for your annual mammogram, remember St. Luke’s Hospital now has another convenient location for this life-saving screening. Offered in the Waterville Medical Building at 900 Waterville-Monclova Road, the office is open from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Call 419-897-8328 to make an appointment.
1/10/2006 SL's offers PT, lab services close to home
St. Luke's offers four convenient locations in surrounding communities for physical therapy and laboratory services. The satellite facilities are located in Maumee, Perrysburg, Swanton and Waterville.
