(Maumee)—As the school year begins around Northwest Ohio, Shots for Tots and Teens at the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department is providing immunizations and boosters for community members at St. Luke’s Hospital.
According to the Health Department, St. Luke’s is the largest site for Shots for Tots and Teens and represents a great opportunity to tell the story of the important role immunizations play in a healthy community.
Shots for Tots and Teens is being held Thursday, August 17, from noon to 2 p.m. and 3:00 to 5:45 p.m in Auditorium B at St. Luke’s Hospital.
In addition to the immunizations and boosters, St. Luke’s will be providing one ShotBlocker® per family. Shotblocker is an ingenious device that alleviates the pain and anxiety of injections and is manufactured by Bionix, a local company.
