Responsible Members of Our Community.
For the caring people of St. Luke’s Hospital, care doesn’t only mean caring for patients and visitors. Caring extends to our entire community. It’s part of our mission to benefit the Maumee and greater Toledo community – to give to the community through education and events, and to allow community members to share their talents through volunteering.
Please take a few moments to check out some of the things we do in and for the community in which we live, work, play and worship. We also invite you to be a part of our community outreach through giving or volunteering.

Classes and Events: Being informed and educated about your health is the first step to wellness. At St. Luke’s, we offer a variety of courses and support groups for health topics such as diabetes management and quitting tobacco use. Come meet others who share your concerns at one of our classes or events.
Transportation: Everyone needs health care, but not everyone has a car or is able to drive. To help you get to the care you need, we’re happy to offer free rides to St. Luke’s Hospital via our courtesy van. If you have a test or treatment scheduled at our hospital, just call us – and we’ll pick you up.
Family Services: St. Luke’s Hospital wants to be there for our community – that includes the newest members of our community, too. If you’re pregnant and looking for excellent maternity care, we encourage you to look at our family services and see how we can help you introduce your new little citizen to the area in healthy ways.
Volunteering: The caring efforts of our volunteers constantly inspire us to do even better for our patients and visitors. If you have some time to spare and you’d like to help your community by aiding patients and visitors at St. Luke’s Hospital, we invite you to learn more about our volunteering program.
Student Observation/ Shadowing Experience: St. Luke’s supports our student community by offering Student Observations/Shadowing. We offer experiences in Patient Care, Non-Patient Care, and Physician areas within the hospital. Come see if you would like a future in the exciting world of healthcare!
Foundation/Giving: Financial gifts also benefit the community through the St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation. When you donate money to St. Luke’s, our Foundation is responsible for dispersing the funds to make sure they go to the services and programs that need them most. As a not-for-profit institution, St. Luke’s relies on the generosity of charitable donors to fully serve the community and provide the best possible services to our various programs.
News Room: If you’re a member of the media – or just a citizen with a nose for news – we invite you to investigate our news room. Here, we post information and news releases, so our community can stay up-to-date on our latest developments. Come check out the news room and see how we are growing and expanding.
Community Health Connection: Enhancing community health – it’s our vision at St. Luke’s Hospital, and that is what our Community Health Connection program is set out to do. Community health Connection serves to offer health education, health screenings, and a sense of wellness to every member of our community. We do this through community health fairs, various cancer screenings, immunization clinics for children, and more. No matter what age or stage of life you are in, let the Community Health Connection program lead you to a healthier future.
